Jonas Vingegaard's lead in the yellow jersey was cut down to six seconds on the second stage of the 2026 Tour de France as Isaac del Toro led home a UAE Team Emirates-XRG 1-2 in Barcelona.
A day earlier, Vingegaard led his Visma-Lease a Bike team home in the opening team time trial around Barcelona to take the race leader's jersey.
Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) moved up to second place and Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe's Remco Evenepoel moved into third after taking the same position on the second day.
Courtesy of his stage win, Del Toro moved into the lead of the points classification and will wear the green jersey on stage three.
After a day out in the breakaway, Dutchman Alex Molenaar of Spanish ProTeam Caja Rural-Seguros RGA leads the mountains classification.
Del Toro overtook Juan Ayuso (Lidl-Trek) in the young rider's classification and his stage win also helped UAE Team Emirates-XRG take over the teams competition from Netcompany-Ineos.
